Nissan Leaf, Nissan Leaf Price in india, Nissan Leaf Review

Nissan Leaf is a fully electric hatchback car. The car is not yet available in India because the company is conducting feasibility tests to launch this electric vehicle in India. Indian market is not mature enough to encourage electric vehicles as of now. Apart from high cost of manufacturing lack of public car charging points system deters their advent. However, Indian Government’s initiatives in the 12th Five Year Plan may change the situation for electric/hybrid vehicles in India.

Coming back to the Leaf, the small car has found over 20,000 customers in Japan, Europe and the US since December 2010 as Government of these countries gives incentives for zero-emission vehicles. Most of the car makers in India are now gearing up for Auto Expo and same is the case with Nissan. Nissan will display LEAF electric car. Nissan India already launched Nissan Micra and Nissan Sunny along with importing X-Trail and Teana sedan. Nissan will also show Nissan GT-R sports car during the show. The Nissan LEAF is actually an acronym that stands for ‘Leading, Environmentally friendly, Affordable, Family’ car. The car was launched in 2010 in global markets like Japan, Europe and America. This Zero emission literally has no engine but runs on a battery. An electric motor fully powers LEAF and therefore leaves no question of combustion or waste gases emitting out of the hatch.
